The new leadership at the helm of the European Commission and the European Council now have the opportunity for bold policy initiatives to boost innovation and competitiveness following the announcement of the Investment Plan to unlock public and private investments in the real economy of at least € 315 billion over the next three years (2015-2017).
On the economic front, Europe is witnessing crucial developments at the Eurozone’s forefront as we see Eurozone countries trying to stabilize their economies, maintain the momentum of structural reforms and return to the path of competitiveness and growth.
The challenge now lies in how the EU can emerge stronger by reinforcing its economic and monetary policies and by strengthening cooperation and integration among its member states.
Despite progress in improving business environments, most countries in the southeast European region still face challenges. What is the strategy to return to growth? How can the European Union and the European institutions assist these countries in paving the path to revival?
The Economist Events and their official representative Hazlis & Rivas have great pleasure in announcing the organization of the Fourth EU–Southeast Europe Summit in Sofia on October 14th-15th, 2015 in Sofia Hotel Balkan.

Cabinet Ministers, representatives from the European Commission, heads of financial institutions and organizations will once again take part in this summit to brainstorm and share insight with decision-makers from politics, business, finance and academia on leadership strategy for recovery and growth, while speakers will be encouraged to openly discuss and debate on the significant challenges and business opportunities that lie ahead for the region as a whole.
